Dayton’s DUI Task Force Announces “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over”

Today the Combined Agency OVI Task Force for Montgomery County announced that it will participate in a major law enforcement initiative call “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”  The nationwide effort will operate from August 19 to September 5th and will join forces of over 10,000 law enforcement agencies.  The press release says that over 500 extra patrol hours have been allocated and at least two OVI checkpoints have been scheduled.  Like other campaigns, this effort will be supported by a media blitz in an effort to maximize the deterrent impact.  For more on the campaign visit the High Visibility Enforcement Campaign Headquarters at www.StopImpairedDriving.com.  We will keep you informed.

Arrested for OVI in Moraine?

ARRESTED IN MORAINE? YOU MAY GO TO THE MORAINE MAYOR’S COURT OR THE KETTERING MUNICIPAL COURT

If you are arrested in Moraine, Ohio on suspicion of an OVI (better known as “DUI” or drunk driving), your OVI case may be handled in the Moraine Mayor’s Court which is located at 4200 Dryden Road, Moraine, Ohio 45439.  Your attorney will meet with a prosecuting attorney who represents the city at the Moraine City Building for purposes of plea negotiations.  If your Moraine OVI case requires a motion to suppress, or if you request that the matter be set for trial, your case will be transferred to the Kettering Municipal Court for adjudication pursuant to Ohio law.

There will be an OVI checkpoint tonight in Washington Township on Rt. 48 near Rahn Rd. beginning at 8pm.

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — Law enforcement will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in the area of Ohio 48 in Washington Twp. starting at 8 tonight. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and police from Kettering, Centerville and Miami Twp. will run the checkpoint in conjunction with the Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force.
