Springfield DUI Checkpoint Tonight (Feb 11, 2011)

There will be a sobriety checkpoint tonight according to the Clark County OVI Task Force. The checkpoint will begin at 11 p.m. and will be located at state Route 40 and U.S. Route 68 in front of Snyder Park, according to the release. The checkpoint will be carried out by the Clark County OVI Task Force, a coalition funded by a $136,000 grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. The task force is comprised of the Clark County Combined Health District, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Police Division, Ohio Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Clark County EMA, Springfield Fire and Rescue Box 27, Ohio Investigative Unit and police departments in North Hampton, Enon, South Charleston, Tremont City and German Twp.

Springfield Ohio OVI Checkpoint Canceled

Plans for an OVI checkpoint tonight in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio have been canceled due to the inclement weather.  The cancellation was announced in today’s edition of the Springfield News Sun.  A new date for the checkpoint has not been announced.

In response to a recent inquiry from my website, www.SpringfieldDUI.com, here is the web site for the Clark County Municipal Court.  The Clark County Sheriff is the entity responsible for maintaining the jail.  Searches for information on Springfield DUI attorneys is difficult because every state in the union has a city named Springfield.  Many “Springfields” are in or near major metropolitan markets which causes attorneys (and other service providers) to pay big money to be placed whenever a person searches for the keyword “Springfield.”  Compounding the problem is that our beloved Springfield, Ohio is located in Clark County.  Many states have prominent cities located in their “Clark” County (Las Vegas is in Clark County, Nevada).
