Lima, Allen County Checkpoint Tonight (October 22, 2011)

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be conducting an OVI sobriety checkpoint tonight (October 22, 2011) in Allen County along Rt. 81. The checkpoint will be from 9 p.m. to midnight.  Saturation patrols will be conducted in conjunction with the checkpoints.

If you are arrested for OVI in Lima or anywhere in Allen County, Ohio, your misdemeanor drunk driving case will be heard in the Lima Municipal Court. The Lima Municipal Court is located at 109 N. Union St. in downtown Lima, Ohio and maintains the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday [directions HERE].  The judges who will hear your case are the honorable William G. Lauber or the honorable Richard A. Early Checkpoint in GermanTownship (Mongomery County)

There will be an OVI checkpoint operated along Rt. 4 in Germant Township from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.  This is earlier than other checkpoints operated in this area.  You should expect saturation patrols to be present in the surrounding areas.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Is Coming To Washington Court House

There will be an OVI checkpoint in Washington Court House, from 10 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday. The checkpoint will be at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Olive Street.  Police from all over Fayette County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and officials from the Ohio Department of Transportation ODOT are manning the checkpoint.  You can also expect that additional officers will be on “saturation patrols” looking for impaired drivers.  As always, we encourage you not to drink and drive.  If you find yourself in need of help, please contact Ohio DUI attorney Charles M. Dayton OVI Checkpoint Tonight (August 20, 2011)

There will be another OVI checkpoint in Montgomery County tonight.  The checkpoint will be on North Main St. in Dayton near Hillcrest Dr.  The increase d patrols will run through September 5th.  The State Highway Patrol plans to operate 27 sobriety checkpoints throughout the state on Friday through Sunday, said Lt. Anne Ralston, a patrol spokeswoman.  This operation is in conjunction with the national NHTSA-sponsored initiative called “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”  Thanks to another grant from the NHTSA, the patrol expects to operate about 100 checkpoints this year, about double the number run last year. In addition to grants, the patrol is using its nearly $450,000 to pay overtime hours to run alcohol-enforcement efforts, including the checkpoints and extra “saturation” patrols that cruise roadways looking for impaired drivers.

Trotwood OVI Checkpoint Tonight (August 19, 2011)

The Trotwood Police Department in Montgomery County, along with other jurisdictions, will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint Friday in the 4300 block of Salem Avenue (near Meadow).  The checkpoint is scheduled to get begin at 8:30 p.m. and end at 2 a.m.  This checkpoint is part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign and will include saturation patrols.  There will be another OVI checkpoint in Dayton tomorrow.
