We have confirmation that a sobriety checkpoint will take place in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio tonight beginning at approximately 10:00pm. The news release does not specify a location for the checkpoint as of the writing of this update. We are still tracking other jurisdictions. WLW News reports that there will be increased patrols due to the holiday weekend. Stepped-up patrols are expected throughout Ohio.

( Middletown ) The Butler County OVI Task Force will be conducting a low manpower sobriety checkpoint on Friday night, in Middletown on State Route 4. The checkpoint begins at 11:00pm and ends at 3:00am, Saturday morning. Officers and troopers will be combining the checkpoint with saturation patrols.
