OVI checkpointThe Clark County OVI Task Force will be operating an OVI checkpoint in Clark County tonight (April 18th).  The Checkpoint will begin at 7:00 pm and will be located  on W. First Street in Springfield.

If you want to receive updated information on sobriety checkpoints,  enhanced traffic enforcement, saturation patrols and other important developments that affect you, sign up for text alerts on the main page of this blog.  OVI checkpoint alerts will be sent directly to your mobile device/smartphone in the location you choose in the Miami Valley.  In the past month we have alerted our followers to the State Route 35 traffic initiative and three local sobriety checkpoints.  You should also know that we respect your trust and we will never send you irrelevant information and/or advertisements.  This service is free and available to the general public.

sobriety checkpoint aheadThere will be an OVI checkpoint in Clark Countytonight!  The checkpoint will take place in Springfield along West North St. and will begin at 7:30 p.m.  The checkpoint will be accompanied by aggressive saturation patrols and a crackdown on seatbelt laws as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign.

Springfield DUI & The Clark County DUI Task Force

clark county dui task forceThe Clark County DUI Task Force is a coalition of 13 area agencies formed last year following a $136,000 grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.  The task force is made up of the Health District, Springfield Police Division, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Highway Patrol, Ohio Department of Transportation, Clark County EMA, Springfield Fire and Rescue Box 27, Ohio Investigative Unit and police departments in North Hampton, Enon, South Charleston, Tremont City and German Twp.  The Clark County DUI Task Force is very active, routinely operating OVI checkpoints in and around Springfield.  Recently, the Clark County DUI Task Force has operated OVI checkpoints in Springfield, Buck Creek State Park and Enon.

There will be an OVI sobriety checkpoint tonight in Clark County, Ohio beginning at 6:00 pm on St. Rt. 235 just south of Mussellman Rd.  News stories do not give an end time for the checkpoint, saying that it will run through the night.  The DUI checkpoint will be conducted by the Clark County OVI Task Force.  The Clark County OVI Task Force  is made up of the Clark County Combined Health District, Springfield Police Division, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Clark County EMA, Springfield Fire and Rescue Box 27, Ohio Investigative Unit and police departments in North Hampton, Enon, South Charleston, Tremont City and German Twp.  This checkpoint is being conducted in conjunction with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
